The graduate of this major obtains a bachelor's degree. This major prepares specialists who have theoretical knowledge and the appropriate practical skills concerning the building of residential and communal housing, industrial constructions, and transport infrastructure, designing basic structures and building components, building technology and organization, managing a team, or a construction company, production, selection and application of proper building materials, as well as computer techniques and modern technologies in the engineering profession.
The graduate is prepared to manage the construction of all types of building structures, to participate in the design of public utility, industrial and communication buildings, to organize the production of building components, and to supervise building construction. He is also prepared to work for construction companies, building supervision, concrete plants, building component manufacturers, and local and public government units linked to construction and architecture. The graduate is ready to begin a master's degree program.
Graduates may apply for a building contractor license.
The graduate of this major obtains the title of Master of Science. The aim of this program is to form a creative and professional personality of a fully qualified and competent graduate. Students acquire knowledge and professional skills concerning different issues related to construction, organization and management of a building company and designing reinforced concrete, steel and wooden facilities. Graduates obtain theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to planning and exploitation of a building, as well as its redecoration, renovation and reconstruction. They are prepared to obtain full building contractor licenses, particularly in the construction of railways, roads and housing . They are also ready for creative scientific and research work in the field of construction.
