The graduate of this major obtains a bachelor's degree.
The major prepares students to become planning specialists who possess interdisciplinary knowledge concerning urban planning, Spatial Development, environmental engineering, economics of Spatial Development, as well as natural and social sciences.
The graduate is prepared to make land Planning plans and local plans, specialized analyses, and plans and projects of spatial transformations which correspond to technical requirements. The graduate will also be able to, make Spatial Development analyses, prepare investment offers, plan systems of technical infrastructure, plan transportation systems, and cooperate in developing plans for regions and Euroregions.
Graduates are qualified to work for design studios and in Spatial Development teams, preparing designs of Spatial Development studies and plans and strategies of municipal Planning. The graduate may also work in local and public government units, Planning agencies, real estate agencies, consulting companies, and public and private companies dealing with designing technical infrastructure. He can also contribute to the preparation of urban area revitalization plans. He can begin a master's degree program.
Graduates may apply for a town planner license.
The speciality is chosen at the second year and formed for the group of at least 15 students.
