CANDIDATE WITH A POLISH DIPLOMA – SECOND-CYCLE STUDIES

1Candidates in the recruitment procedure are accepted:

Nursing:

  • based on a first-degree diploma in Nursing (Bachelor of Nursing),
  • until the enrollment limit is reached

Architecture:

  • based on a first-degree diploma in Architecture and Urban Planning (Engineer Architect),
  • until the enrollment limit is reached

Interior Design:

  • based on a first-degree diploma in Interior Design (Bachelor).
  • until the enrollment limit is reached

1graduates in other disciplines:

It is possible for graduates of the following fields to continue their studies in the second-cycle program: Architecture, Architecture and Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Graphic Design, Design, as well as other fields related to visual arts, art education, or conservation of works of art (belonging to the discipline of visual arts and conservation of works of art).

Graduates of the aforementioned fields must submit an application for admission along with a portfolio (10 personally created works, including: 5 artistic works such as paintings, drawings, photographs, moodboards, and 5 design or conceptual works demonstrating the appropriate learning outcomes – any number of visualizations of a single project) and a declaration of independent creation of the portfolio. The university reserves the right to assign academic differences. The committee will schedule a qualifying interview.

The template for the application and the declaration of independent creation of the portfolio can be downloaded from the candidate's individual account after applying for the program in the Recruitment Portal of the Academy of Silesia.

The portfolio, declaration, and application for admission should be sent to the email address: international@akademiaslaska.pl. The application must be consolidated into a single PDF file (the file should be encrypted. File size: max. 10MB, file name: first name_last name).

Civil Construction:

  • based on a first-degree diploma in Civil Construction (Bachelor of Engineering).
  • until the enrollment limit is reached.

Mechatronics:

  • based on a first-degree diploma in Mechatronics (Bachelor of Engineering).
  • until the enrollment limit is reached.

1graduates in other disciplines:

It is possible for graduates of the following disciplines to continue their studies in the second-cycle program: Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Electronics and Electromechanics, or Technical Computer Science and Telecommunications to continue their studies in second-cycle programs.

Graduates of the fields mentioned above must submit an application for admission. The university reserves the right to assign academic differences. The application template can be downloaded from the candidate's individual account after applying for the program on the Academy of Silesia's Recruitment Portal.

The purpose of the conversation is primarily to identify the motivation and predisposition to undertake master's studies in Management. The discussion involves recognizing the candidate's interests, including those related to new trends in management and current socio-economic issues. It also encompasses identifying the candidate's desire to develop interpersonal and social competencies during studies, especially critical thinking skills and self-development, as well as openness to cultural diversity and problem-solving within organizations. The conversation also provides an opportunity for mutual understanding between the candidate and the university. The conversation is conducted either in person or online before confirming the intent to study.

What do you need to do to apply for studies?

  • Create an account on the recruitment portal and complete candidate profile information.
  • Apply for the chosen course of study.
  • Attach required documents and an electronic biometric proof photograph,
  • Make the recruitment fee payment to the individual bank account number generated on the candidate's profile and attach the payment confirmation.

After completion of the steps, expect to receive a message about the results of the recruitment process. This will appear on your individual account on the recruitment portal.

  • in the case of people with disabilities - a document confirming the degree of disability – for inspection,
  • Medical certificate with an opinion stating no health contraindications for pursuing studies in the selected field, issued/signed by a specialist in occupational medicine – applies only to nursing. The certificate must be issued on a form referring to the regulations of the Minister of Health dated August 26, 2019, regarding medical examinations for candidates to post-secondary or higher education institutions, as well as qualifying vocational courses, students, participants of qualifying vocational courses, and doctoral students. The certificate should indicate the ability to study in the selected field and the validity period of the certificate – referral for medical examinations are issued at the Admissions Office from the start of the recruitment process.(applies only to nursing)*

Submit the aforementioned documents to the Academy of Silesia (Katowice, 43 Rolna Street) within the specified deadline to confirm your willingness to study by signing an agreement for the provision of education services.


The agreement can be signed electronically (using Autenti/electronic qualified signature) on the condition that the original documents are presented beforehand.


* Referrals for medical examinations are issued at the Recruitment Office from the start of the recruitment process. The medical certificate must be submitted to the Recruitment Office no later than September 16, 2024.
